Anesthetic Considerations for Pedaitric and Geriatric Patients

Not every anesthetic patient is in the prime of life. In this presentation, we will examine what makes anesthetizing pediatric and geriatric patients different from anesthetizing healthy adults. We will discuss metabolism, anatomy, cardiac function, and nociception at various life stages. The presenter will also describe strategies to minimize age-related anesthetic complications.
