Virtual: Management of Skin Autoimmune Diseases

This session is livestreamed from VMX Orlando. The goal of therapy for autoimmune dermatoses is to control the disease and improving the quality of life of our patients while minimizing the adverse effects of the treatments. Before starting treatments, and when flares occur, it is important to differentiate infections (pyoderma and demodicosis, dermatophytosis) from an actual disease flare. Treatment with immunosuppressive therapy in the presence of these infections can be very harmful. This session will discuss available treatment options for management of autoimmune skin diseases.
