Information

In this 1-hr RACE approved lecture, attendees will first gain an overview of the main concept: behavioral abnormalities exist in every small animal case. This will be supported through market research and statistics of different common behavioral abnormalities and pet parent perceptions. The lecture will then dive into classic behavioral abnormalities we see (separation anxiety, noise phobias, excessive barking), anxiety and fear created by chronic medication administration, and then signs we see in the aging population associated with cognitive dysfunction, all with tips and tricks for recognition and treatment. The final section will specifically address how having a calm clinic through pheromone use and other strategies can help improve behavior in patients, pet parents, and teams through reduction of anxiety and improved work culture.
