PupPilot was founded in 2024 by Dr. Nora Szeto Peters (DVM) and her husband, AI engineer Gary Peters, with the mission to enhance the veterinary profession by delivering accurate, reliable, and trustworthy AI services. Our goal is to alleviate veterinary burnout while improving efficiency and care effectiveness. With Dr. Nora's blend of veterinary expertise and software engineering, and Gary’s extensive AI experience, PupPilot is uniquely equipped to address challenges across the profession.
PupPilot leverages AI through a Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) Optimization Engine to structure unstructured data within VetMed. Focused on AI search rather than generation, PupPilot partnered with a team of Stanford AI professors who developed a general-purpose RAG engine, which has been adapted by the PupPilot team for veterinary applications. This engine is key to driving the precision and reliability of PupPilot's AI tools.
