Acute pancreatitis is a common yet challenging disease process, both in terms of its diagnosis and management. In this session we will review optimal methods to diagnose pancreatitis in dogs, including review of pancreatic lipase assays. We will also discuss the management of this disease including supportive and symptomatic care as well as targeted therapeutics.
