Feline CKD: Calories, Calcium, and Phosphorus, Oh My!

Nutritional assessment of CKD patients and creating an individualized nutritional plan is a key part of CKD management to combat inappetence, weight loss and CKD-Mineral Bone Disorder. In this session, calcium-phosphorus physiology will be reviewed and new approaches to hypercalcemia in CKD will be presented. The influence of inappetence and the gut-kidney axis on health and wellbeing will also be discussed.
