Virtual: What Is the Place of Antibiotics in the Treatment of Chronic Enteropathies?

Antibiotics were routinely used for dogs and cats with chronic vomiting and diarrhoea previously. However, there has been now a shift to use different strategies. In this lecture, we will discuss the effects of antibiotics on the microbiota in healthy animals and what alternatives to antibiotics in animals with chronic enteropathy. Although rarely, antibiotics have to be considered for some pets and we will discuss what presentation should alert the clinicians to their possible need.
