Information
Pancreatitis in dogs is a challenging condition to diagnose due to its broad spectrum of clinical signs and the lack of a single definitive diagnostic modality/test. In this session, we will review the diagnostic approach, including laboratory testing and imaging. Strengths and limitations of available tools will be discussed, with emphasis on building confidence in diagnosis by integrating multiple findings and keeping key differentials in mind when selecting diagnostic tests. We will also address treatment, focusing on supportive and symptomatic care strategies alongside newer targeted therapies, including Panoquell-CA1, and its role in improving outcomes for affected dogs.
