From Policy to Patients: Applying the AHS Canine Heartworm Guidelines

The American Heartworm Society (AHS) released its updated 2024 Canine Heartworm Guidelines. In this co-led session, a veterinary parasitology specialist and a practicing clinician will bring both scientific expertise and real-world perspective to the discussion. Together, they will highlight what has changed, what has stayed the same, and—most importantly—what these updates mean for everyday practice.
