Information
Seizures are among the most common and urgent neurological presentations in veterinary emergency medicine. Effective management requires rapid recognition, decisive stabilization, and throughtful long term planning. This lecture will guide participants through the emergency approach to seizuring patients, including airway, circulation, and pharmacologic stabilization as well as the protocolsfor status epilepticus and cluster seizures. We will then explore in-hospital managment strategies covering diagnostics, anticonvulsant selection and monitoring.
