Information
Noise phobia and anxiety in dogs are common but complex conditions that often require a multifaceted and individualized approach. This session explores the neurobiology of fear and anxiety, differentiates normal stress responses from pathological ones, and highlights how chronic exposure to noise triggers can erode a dog’s emotional and physical well-being. Participants will gain practical tools for assessment and treatment, including environmental management, behavior modification, pharmacologic intervention, and non-pharmaceutical aids. Special emphasis is placed on tailoring plans to each dog's unique coping style, medical status, and the caregiver’s ability to implement the strategy.
