Information

Aging patients are challenged by a multitude of metabolic, pain and immunological challenges. Immunosenescence is emerging as a recognized condition in the elderly, contributing to some of the clustering of comorbidities. Acupuncture is an integrative approach with significant effects on the neuro-immune-endocrine homeostasis. In addition to contributing to immune homeostasis, acupuncture aides elderly patients by treating pain and enhancing cognition.
